Jedi Mickey’s Star Wars Dine At Hollywood & Vine 2014
Join Jedi Mickey, Princess Leia Minnie, Darth Goofy, Stormtrooper Donald and Ewok Chip and Dale for a Star Wars dinner you will never forget. This all you can eat buffet features Star Wars themed food like Skywalker Ranch Chicken and Princess Leia’s Penne Pasta.
Upon entering you will be greeted by Ewok Chip and Dale for a great photo op, but remember not to let the chipmunks get a hold of your Light Sabers or they will do what chipmunks do, PLAY!
After your photo, you will be greeted by a friendly Cast Member who will show you to your table and give you your Light Sabers for use later.
These double sided papers roll up to be a Light Saber which you will use to support the Dark Side (Darth Goofy and Stormtrooper Donald) or the Light Side ( Jedi Mickey and Princess Leia Minnie) later in the dinner by choosing either Blue (Light Side) or Red (Dark Side).
After sitting down at the table, your server will offer up some of the finest drinks available throughout the world, i.e. Coke products, coffee, tea, milk or juice. Then it’s time to hit the all you can eat buffet.
This is probably one of my favorite character dines on property. The food was excellent. We especially enjoyed the Skywalker Ranch Chicken and the Meatballs.
While the food on the buffet was excellent, we were a bit disappointed in the desserts.
While they look very good, they didn’t quite live up to looks. But the good thing was that we could head back to the buffet for more of the excellent cuisine.
Overall I would have to say that it was a fun experience, especially if you are a Star Wars and a Disney Fan.
This is a great way to see these characters since when they do happen to be out in the park, the lines are very long.
The Nuts and Bolts – This dining package, while expensive at $55.99 for adults and $39.99 for children 3-9, where else in the park are you going to be able to grab photos with all of these characters without standing in the hot sun. Tables In Wonderland discounts do not apply, but I read that the Disney Visa discount does with possibly some blackout dates in the future.
You cannot reserve tables for this meal through your My Disney Experience, you must call the dining line at (407) WDW-DINE. When you make the reservation, you must give your credit card, which will be charged the full price if you do not show.
Now for the grand finally, as an added option to your dining package you can add on priority seating to Fantasia. If you are planning on seeing Fantasia one of the Star Wars Weekends, I highly recommend you choose this option. If not, you will be standing to watch as they rope off about 2/3’s of the seating for dining package, then half of the rest for normal FastPass and the balance is open seating.
