Disney World Removing Walk Around The World Bricks

With all the construction going on around the parks, Disney has announced they will be retiring the Walk Around The World bricks in the coming years. The bricks were originally slated to be displayed through 2011. They are located at the Transportation and Ticket Center and the Magic Kingdom.

Starting March 18th, original brick owners can get a commemorative 6″ brick for $10. Stop by City Hall in the Magic Kingdom or Guest Relations in Disney Springs to get verified with the sponsor’s name and hometown. Once verified you will receive a voucher to receive a brick at Tomorrowland Light and Power Company or the Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs.

If you cannot visit the resort, you can visit shopdisney.com to receive your voucher.

In case you didn’t buy a brick originally, you can get one to take home. You can buy a 6″ ($29.99), a 8″ ($49.99) or an ornament ($24.99).
